The short version

We collect what you type into our estimate form, plus some basic technical details about your visit. We use it to answer your request and to keep the site running. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own advertising.

Who we are

Virginia Exteriors LLC is a home exterior contractor based in Sterling, Virginia. This policy covers our website and the estimate requests we receive through it. In this policy, “we” and “our” mean Virginia Exteriors LLC.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you fill out an estimate or contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, property address, and whatever project details you choose to write. If you call or email us instead, we keep what you tell us in that conversation. You decide how much to share.

Information we collect automatically

When you submit a form, our system also records your IP address, your browser’s user agent, the page that sent you to us, and any campaign tags in the link you followed. We use this to block spam submissions and to understand which of our marketing efforts brought you here.

Our web host keeps standard server logs of requests to the site, including IP addresses. These are used for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies, analytics, and embedded content

We use Google Analytics to see how people find and use this site: which pages get read, which links get followed, and which marketing brought someone here. It sets cookies that recognize a returning browser and record that activity under a random identifier rather than your name. We use it to understand traffic patterns, not to build a profile of you.

We do not run advertising or cross-site retargeting cookies on this site. WordPress, the software that runs it, sets functional cookies only if you log in or leave a blog comment.

If you would rather not be counted, Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics, and any browser can block cookies in its settings. Neither one stops you using the site or requesting an estimate.

Our contact page embeds a Google map. When that map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. That is governed by Google’s privacy policy, not ours. Pages on this site also link out to manufacturer websites such as Pella, Andersen, and ProVia. Once you follow one of those links, that company’s privacy policy applies.

How we use your information

• To respond to your estimate request, schedule a visit, and prepare a quote.
• To contact you about a project we are quoting or performing.
• To keep records of the work we do and the warranties attached to it.
• To protect the site from spam and abuse.
• To understand which marketing brings in real inquiries.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use it to make automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with companies that help us run the business, and only so they can do that work:

• Voyager Marketing, our marketing agency. They build and maintain this website and receive form submissions so they can pass them to us and report on results. They act on our instructions.
• Our web host and email provider, who store the site and deliver the notification emails.
• Google, for the map embedded on our contact page and for Google Analytics.
• Subcontractors and suppliers, when your project requires it. They get only what they need to do the job, such as the service address.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our customers, our crew, or the public.

How long we keep it

We keep estimate requests and project records for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our accounting, warranty, and legal obligations. If you would like your information deleted sooner, contact us and we will do it unless we are required to keep it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also tell us to stop contacting you at any time. Email eddiehane@virginiaexteriorsllc.com or call (703) 327-7001 and we will take care of it.

Virginia’s Consumer Data Protection Act gives Virginia residents rights over their personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of it. We honor these requests from our customers regardless of whether the law formally applies to a business our size. Most browsers also let you block cookies or send a Do Not Track signal, which you are free to use.

How we protect it

This site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to form submissions is limited to the people who need it. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.

Children

This site is meant for homeowners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted here.
